EU Social Security - changes to E101 and E102 forms
Further to the implementation of the new EU social security rules effective from May 1st, 2010, the E101 and E102 forms will now be replaced by Form A1.
This new form will retain the key characteristics of the E101 and E102, with minor changes made to clamp down on companies operating schemes based on fake minimum wage employment setups ("social dumping"). An additional advantage of the new system will be the initial duration, now extended to 24 months.
More generally, all "E" forms will be revamped, with changes expected to the health-care documentation, which includes E106.
The European Health Insurance Card will continue to be issued after May 1st, 2010.
