What is the cost of living abroad?

When moving abroad, one of the main things to look for is the cost of living. This reflects how much it will cost you to live at a certain standard for a certain length of time. It mainly depends on the quality of life you are looking for and if you are moving abroad on a short or long term basis, with or without a family. All these factors should be taken into account when making your decision.

The results of the latest Mercer’s cost of living survey list seven European cities in the top fifteen countries. After London, which is in third position, Oslo is one of the most expensive cities followed by two cities in Switzerland (Geneva and Zurich). This survey is established on the analysis of real estate values, taxes, utility costs, health care and other expenses incurred when living in a particular place.
