Can I use the local school system or an international school?
Moving abroad
Local school systems are available to anyone living in any European country. The education is given in the official language of the region you reside in. Joining a local school or college may be a good idea for the longer-term as it is an opportunity of participating in the local social life on a day-to-day basis. It also gives your children the opportunity to learn another language at an age when they are much more receptive to learning.
If your plans are to continue the education of your children on an international basis, there is a wide range of international institutions all over Europe. Most of these will provide instruction in English. The entry requirements can vary from one to the other. To help in making a choice, we have selected a few links for you.
